I've got a question about 6-speed transmissions used in B8's. I've searched all over, including Audizine, etc. with no definitive answers.
The early 2010 has the KMR 6-speed trans with a 6-bolt driveshaft flange. The LPE 6-speed in later 2010s thru 2014 use a slip-on driveshaft. Couldn't you just replace the KMR with the LPE as long as you also replace the driveshaft? I'm assuming the length is ok, as are all other mounting points? This could be helpful considering good KMR's are getting scarce.
Any help is appreciated.
