Sport Diff. ? which oil leaks from CV shaft seals?

I made a aggressive acceleration in a slow speed turn in dynamitic mode selected with the traction control turned off (I have a sport Differential) and it was started making weird noises during the hard acceleration launch [:D][:D]. First time I have heard the noise but had noticed a couple years ago that the outer seals on the diff were weeping fluid. Checked the ATF level and it was OK. I replaced the control arms a few weeks ago and when I took it to get it aligned the mechanic showed me the leaking rear diff. but gave me some sort of story how he could not check the level. Anyway which fluid leaks out the seals to the CV shafts. Is it the atf or the gear oil? I know replacing the seals is a real job.

I searched forums and no one says which it is..

There was a TSB for leaking sport diff seals back in 2011 that also affected some 2012 models. It may not be related to the problem you're experiencing but here's more info:

Update, I had the ATF and the gear oil already so I stopped at a local shop and got it on a lift. Pulled the level plug for the gear oil (drivers side) and some wept out, level ok. Pulled the plug on the ATF side and it needed about 2-3 ounces of ATF. Topped it off and cleaned real good. The things mentioned above seem be focused on the CV shaft boot system, not the SD itself. I know there are seals sold for this, I think 2 on each side but it is a expensive job if Audi does it. I will watch and see as I do not drive it as much anymore because of traveling out of state for my job. We will see what happens.
