Howdy folks!

I recently this week purchased a 2013 Audi S6. Pretty much the day I bought it I started getting transmission codes(I'm sure the dealer had to know, just lied to me I guess). Anyway I might do the Mechtronic Kit but I'm pretty sure it's gonna need the clutch pack. Problem is I'm really struggling to find a clutch pack anywhere, except a couple that are upgrading them to stage 1(Which I really don't need). Is these any where to get a decent clutch pack or get mine rebuilt?

Just trying to do some preliminary research on some stuff, so thanks for the help! I'm still gonna pull codes etc and try and pin down my exact issue. For those that wonder the car seems to really be limiting power(I've been driving it easy), got transmission malfunction and clutch overheating messages. Shifts hard and seems to slip in(3rd?) gear.

Personally I would just say full send and grab these

from what you described your clutches are most likely burnt up. The mechatronic, its hard to say. Could be both, could be just the clutches. But rebuilding the mech isnt a bad idea, while you are in there i believe there is a gasket that needs to be changed as well. I cant recall the name at the moment.

But yeah the reason i say full send on the upgrade is because you will get more longevity and durability out of it and I'm sure you don't want to be dealing with this issue again.

You may not be into modding your car, but if you ever wanted to, these clutches could definitely hold up to it. These transmissions are substantially more reliable with a tcu tune that increases the clamping pressures. just something to consider. You could go oem but i'm not sure the cost or the best place to source them

hope this helps your decision

Thanks really appreciate the advice. Now either way I need a software for rebuilding the mech unit and adaptation for the clutches right? I'm not gonna ask you to write it out again, I know it's beating a dead horse. But if you have a link to a tutorial I'd be very grateful! I'm used to working on cars but not Audi specific stuff.
