B8.5 6MT Stage 1. Looking to pair the RR Stage 3 with a LUK DMF. Will never track but like to launch. Anyone have any experience with this? Will it hold stage 2+?

TIA

I have a ringer S3+ clutch with their steel flywheel with replaceable insert and I知 in Buffalo, NY just south of the lake from you. So far, so good, but the chatter/judder in the drivetrain is quite prevalent thus far. I知 only ~18% through the break-in period of 1,000 miles though and the chatter is said to go away after the break-in period.

It'll take me months to get through that. Working from home mean i probably drive 250km a week nowadays :( Thanks for the info though!

I can relate; I too work from home and got the car back on 2/7 and many of those ~180 miles have been because I致e made a point to go out and drive the car. The break-in is also all city driving, which I致e made a point to do since getting the car back, but I知 still looking at about 4-5 months before I知 through that break-in.

Any clutch will have some sort of break-in period, but I really wish this clear coat that causes the chatter was just skipped if we have to drive 1,000 miles for it to wear off to a point of near stock feel.

It does, my stage 4 with billet FW was super loud during break in. You can still hear it, but that痴 just the nature of the single mass FW

RR stage 4 with steel FW for over a year (6-7k miles).
After speaking with multiple people I've found the term 'chatter' is used to describe both engagement shakes and idle sound.
The pedal feel is nice but there's quite a bit of shakiness during engagement. Especially in reverse. It goes away if I blip the gas, but if I'm stuck in traffic there are times I want to inch forward using only the clutch.
No chatter sound at idle.
Holds the power well, I hope the clutch lasts a long time.
