After some heavy rainfall I noticed a puddle of water in my trunk where the battery and spare tire is. I also noticed the foam, under where the amp is on the drive-side of the trunk is also wet.
Any thoughts on where to start looking? I've read something about the clogged sunroof drains, does that require taking off the headliner to access?

I had this happen to my 2010 A4. The rubber trunk seal was bad. New one solved the problem.

There should be something in one of the thread results from this search for B8 S4 sunroof drains that should be helpful ...

I had a bit of water in the spare tire area on my '10 as well. The only reason I noticed it is I was having battery issues so I was working in that area. I think the problem was caused by going through a touchless carwash twice in a span of a day or so, and because it was cold (40F or less) outside. I thought it might have been related to the sunroof drains but confirmed those are working properly by opening the sunroof, slowly pouring some water into the area around the sunroof, and watching for it to come out the drains. I've been through the same carwash again and the problem hasn't occurred again, so maybe a seal wasn't sealing very well due to the cold.
As a stopgap, while I had the water issue, I put a microfiber towel in the spot where the water was pooling and would wring it out before driving the car.
