Engine Mount Replacement

Recently bought the Garage Auto Sports Downpipe set with high flow cats. I had mentioned to Bill that I was doing the replacement due to a broken passenger side flex pipe and he told me worn engine mounts were the #1 cause of flex pipes failing. Further more if I was stage 1 or greater, the mounts should be replaced.

I know these cars are expensive to maintain, but is the $1000 replacement necessary if I don’t notice any symptoms while driving? I included a picture of the passenger side mount didn’t notice any fluid, just salt deposits from the road. Looks to be OEM. Some other areas beneath the mount locations , too.

Can I make it another 30K? Frankly not ready to dump money into high mileage car I’m not fully accustomed to yet.

put a set of 034 billet mounts. car feels amazing after. good amount of nvh but I love it

You might not see any fluid leak, however when you pull mount out, you will be able to see rubber in bad shape. When I replaced mine to 034 mounts , noticed the rubber was cracked pretty good. But no fluid leak.

You got some solid advice from a known vendor that deals with these cars regularly.... I would also bet at 118K mileage teh rubber is at least torn - it will leak when really bad - but then that's complete failure.

I would replace them - but up to you if you want to risk another exhaust pipe failure.
