the part number seems to be visible, just go to the dealer and ask for that part.....if you did decide to do it yourself.....

I don't think that's the hose - its the coolant flange on the back of the head (if that's what I'm looking at). It can be sourced from ECS (where I bought mine) or dealer like suggested above. It's not impossible to change, but it does have a few other hoses going to it and being located between the head and the firewall does make it a PITA

on second thought, it may be the actual hose that has a plastic end that is cracked, sorry, should have looked closer before I responded.

that hose runs from that coolant flange to the heater core...not sure how hard it will be to change though

and like audisnapr said it looks like its cracked

Hahah, with a crack like that, I am suprised you even have any coolant... So yes, you will need to flush... I would anyways.... Never know what could have gotten in there with a gapping hole like that!

The heater hose takes coolant into the heater matrix and back to provide warmth from the water contained inside.

So yeah it is part of the coolant system

yes those are pics of the back of the head and over the tranny....have you had this problem before??? any tips for installing?

I am going to the dealer again on friday to show them the part number Neo suggested...The guys at the dealer gave me a hose yesterday with part number 058 121 058 R...but the parts guy wasnt sure if that was the right hose...we both decided on it after looking at the diagram of the coolant system, but i guess we could be wrong.
