While trying to figure out why the mmi screen does not fold I removed the assembly and was amazed to see a true masterpiece of a genius German engineering technology design.
It appears the the screen is being pulled up and down by two nylon cords, or one cord. Its hard to say without seeing this mechanism in action. I was able to locate 3 little ends.
Need help routing these cords.
Any advice? Or a picture?
As for the string itself. Walmart sells the same kind of strings at the crafts department. 3$ Its black or brown though but the color does not make any difference.
I was also thinking to reuse the old little string ends by melting/burning the old one out and lock it on a new strings.
