I always back in when I park. Work, garage, gym, store...etc.
I leave when it's dark from the gym, and then usually get home from work when it's dark.
But my C7.5 has always sucked at luminating while backing up.
Is there a way to improve that?

there are two small buttons under the headlight switch. top one is for the front fogs, lower is for the brighter rear illumination

Check AZ thread "Upgraded reverse light options". Depending on model/year, apparently the options are replace the bulb or replace the entire taillight assembly.

Those are actually rear fog lights, so people behind you can see you better in low visibility weather.
Perhaps I am wrong, but I believe the C7.5 uses an integrated LED backup light.
My C7 did not.
I used a previous version of this
https://www.usa.philips.com/c-p/921ULWX2/ultinon-led-car-signaling-bulb
which works well enough but is not amazing...I think it just has its limitations (bulb type, size etc.)
I think as NewYorkS6 pointed out the rear fog lights might help in some situations, a bright red light is sometimes better than not enough light at all.

You could always retrofit a back-up camera, if not already fitted. [wrench]

Correct, but they they light up the red Tails like when braking. Gives extra light up my driveway when reversing to the garage. Makes it easier to see on backup cam without having to alternate between brake and has to see. Also useful on foggy days to let the cats behind you see you easier and earlier

mine sucks too but i attribute that to having my tail lights tinted, makes it hard to back out of driveway at night when your windows are 5% and the driveway does an "s" curve

I've installed a trailer hitch on mine and I have the non contact ZCI wiring harness for it. I'm not sure it has a connector for reverse lights, but I'm sure something could be rigged up with a hitch mounted white light.
