between the two eliminator kits, what is the normal lagg difference between the GT28RS and the GT2871r?

Never drove a GTRS, but my 71r reaches 23psi by 4100 in 3rd, 3700 in 4th / 5th. 1st and 2nd are too short to matter, there won't be much of a difference there.

Might want to ask the B6 forum about the GTRS's lag, as most B5's with elims have the 2871r.

I have driven both and both pretty much felt the same.

by to short to matter in 1st and 2nd, what do you mean? gears go by too fast or full boost doesn't happen til like 6500 rpm's?

and do you think it would be pointless for me to go with just the RS? and get the 71r? im looking for a good mix between power and non lagg

Too short meaning they go by too fast. The boost comes on around 4500 (23psi) in 1st and 2nd, but you don't even notice it that much because it starts pulling hard in the middle of the 3000's.

I'd say definately get the 71r, it's got more power from the larger compressor and the lag won't be that different from the RS.

on the flip side a full GT28RS (at least with APR manifold) seems to boost sooner than the eliminator. So I would assume the same is for a full 2871R. I get 22 psi by about 3500 RPM in 3rd gear, by about 3100 RPM in 5th gear.
