I use Liqui Moly 5W-40 in my 2017 A6 3.0T which I try to change every 5K miles. There doesn't seem to be any obvious leaks, but I seem to have to add oil at least once between changes. A friend suggested Liqui Moly Motor Oil Saver. Supposed to treat seals that may have slightly dried up and shrunk. Not a miracle of course, but for $10 worth a try?
Anyone use this?

In general these cars burn some oil, probably increasing in likelihood to the harder you drive it. That said, I also have a C7.5 with the CREC 3.0T, just changed my oil last weekend (also use LiquiMoly 5w40) after ~4,000 miles (6 months) and got 6.5 L out whereas my last change in June I put 7 L in. So I was only down 1/2 L in 4k miles, some of which is soaked into the filter. But, 99.9% of my driving is slow commuting on secondary/tertiary roads under 1/4 throttle or so
A bad PCV valve can cause oil loss, and this is a common issue on this car, could be that or it could be that you just drive it hard enough to burn that much oil

I have an oil change scheduled in a couple weeks. I'll have them check the PCV valve.
