Hello,

I am new to the Audi world and picked up my first one a couple months ago. So far I did a Stage 1 tune. The car is awesome. I need new wheels as the ones on it have had enough curb rash. They are OEM 21 inch.

Do anyone of you know of any issues going to 22 x 10.5 as far as bottoming out or tire rub at turning maximum? I have seen pictures of a bunch with tires that size. So far I understand a spacer is needed, I have ceramic breaks.

New to all of this and enjoying it. Thanks.

Welcome! First Audi and right to a RS Performance. [:D]

22s on this chassis is a bit big, most on here will not recommend it. Issues really are about the overall diameter and what tire you're forced to run. 275/25-22 is close but doesn't look like it is really a size offered out there, 285/25-22 is also close but limited choices and small side wall. 285/30-22 is more common but on the tall side. https://willtheyfit.com/index.php?width=275&aspect=30&diameter=21&wheelwidth=9&offset=35&width2=285&aspect2=30&wheel_size=22&wheel_width=10.5&offset2=35

Spacers would be clearance to the calipers, the CCBs are 420mm and the S brakes are 400mm with a similar profile on the caliper. 420mm brake setup gains a bit of space to the hub area which is one impact point but pushing the calipers away from the hub 10mm makes more 20" wheels less likely to have inner hoop clearance. Still not too hard to find wheels that will work.

Up to you though. There have been some owners selling their 22 set ups with pictures for you to visualize.

Thank you for your time. You are appreciated.

So far I like a few and may go with these in 21 in light of your advice but research has not been completed.

21x10.5 is a fairly common, offset from +25-35 will work depending on the tire you want to run. Check the classifieds in here and the main classifieds, good deals pop up often. If you're a performance with DRC suspension, look into KW HAS as a good lowering option. The spring rate on the Performance + Dynamic mode is fairly stiff, KW HAS makes Dynamic a little more usable.

On a DRC (steel spring) RS7 the consensus seems to be that 265x35x21 will fit without rubbing at the default ride height. 285x25x22 should therefore fit but that's very little tire on an already stiff car. With the size of the wheel arches on the C7, 21s look great - just my opinion. It will be cool to see what you pick out.

Great choice for first Audi! for me, personal preference of course. Aesthetically I think the C7/C7.5 Body looks best on 20 inch wheels. as wide as 20x10.5

21 looks nice too but looks a little big for my taste. everyone is different though. I definitely think 22 looks too big

If you decide to step down to a 20" wheel. Or sell your 21's. Let me know. I am also in Michigan.
