Yes, RS4 has brushed aluminum. Some newer S-Lines have the matte finish mirrors.

You can always buy the chrome in-pro mirrors and take some steel wool to them to give them the brushed look.[cool]

i just painted mine for the thrid time tonight. every fukin clear coat i try always turns the paint i use (cast aluminum silver by duplicolor i believe) a shitty dull grey. i left them without a clearcoat once before and the weather had its turn with them and looked like ass. i cannot find a clear to keep the color the same

i sanded it, primed it with duplicolor, sanded it again, painted it with duplicolor aluminum, then clear coated it with a duplicolor clear coat. it was all duplicolor products. ive read youre previous posts about having trouble with the paint screwing up after you clear it. sounds to me that the paiint wasnt completley dry or that you ddidnt sand and prime the surface for prep. im good with a rattle can. what exactly are you having trouble with?

im sand it down and go straight to the color. no primer, which i probably should use. then i go to the clear after 3 coats or color waiting about 15-20 minutes between the clear and color. it might be that im not waiting long enough for the color to dry. do they have to be completly dry before i clear them?

the problem is that the enamel paint which is the chrome/aluminum will do that when you put any clear on it because the clear has thinner mixed in with it and enamel will smudge/smear/dull when thinner hits it. you'd have to find like a bucket of clear with no thinner and basically "dip" the mirrors..
