View Full Version : Serpentine Belt Wearing Coolant Crossover Pipe

Noticed that the belt is rubbing on the front coolant pipe and has worn a bit of a groove in it. Is this a common problem and how should it be resolved - just replace the pipe? Engine is 3.2 V6 (CALA I Think)

Yeah, the MY09 A4 3.2L V6 is CALA. You might also check in the B8.0 A5 and B8.0 Q5 forums, as they used that engine (CALB tune in the Q5) far more years than the A4 did (MY09 only here in the US).

Seems others have this problem as per comments here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g4CI0Kd9m8Y, maybe due to pipe expanding
