When did they start using the 10point socket? I ran into one a few weeks ago and had to buy this

I can't remember the year of the car.

That is NOT needed to change pads, calipers, or rotors. DONT TOUCH THOSE BOLTs. This is EXPLICITY stated in the manual.

Do whatever you want, I prefer to follow the manual.

You linked a 10pt socket on Amazon that fits where it says do not loosen the bolts (A).

Perhaps you got mixed up with the triple square bolt that holds the caliper to the caliper bracket on the inside.. Which, unless you are installing new calipers, then you don't need to touch it; instead just use a hex head socket on the caliper bracket and remove the brack and caliper as one piece, thus negating the need for even a triple square.

No, you're right, I found the same info. I could have sworn it bolted directly the spindle and didn't have the normal hex bolts for the caliper bracket. Had a brain hiccup. That was the only one with those fasteners I've ran into.
