Hello
I am new here and i have had my share of sport cars, latest one a 2019 Mustang GT Twin Turbo making over 1,000HP, a $92,000 dollar investment. Problem was that the car had no traction and even Racing it at 60MPH wheels would break loose badly and unsafe.
So now im looking for ALL Wheel Drive for better Traction. I like the GTR Nissan but its Around 100k to then start Modifying it. So im Thinking RS7 Performance 2017. They are around 70k to 80K. What do you all think. Im i buying the wrong year or wrong Model should i
look at a RS3 5 or 6?.
I have seen the RS7 around 700 HP with some mods and tuned and they seem Fast and Fun. What do you all think of the regular RS7 560HP versus the Performance 605HP, what are Pros and Cons? is it worth the extra money?
Please i need your Advice and Opinions,, TY

I personally think the RS6/7 is a great choice, but you may find that a lot in this particular group. From what I’ve read, the difference between the 560hp and 605hp of the performance models will disappear once you start tuning. The other things like ceramic brakes, DRC or air suspension will be up to your preference or what you find available. I highly recommend reading through IowaRS7’s build thread. It’ll give you a good idea about what you’d be getting into depending on how far you want to take it. I don’t have any experience with Mustangs, but if cost is a huge determining factor, be warned that this platform is not inexpensive to get involved with.

My opinion; the first 150-300hp increase on this platform is easy. After that, the usual diminishing returns will come into play and how much you're changing the everyday use of the car factors in. Regional access to fuels is something to keep in mind, E85 is not everywhere so 91-93 is sometimes most accessible.
RS3 - can be stupid fast but tiny cars.
RS5 - haven't seen too many pushing the limits yet.
RS6 - good potential down the road but still a newer platform with high premium to get in, have seen a fair number of 1st owner cars getting tuned which is something to watch out for with warranty if that matters to you.
S8 Plus would be something to consider, bigger body car but there are some advantages to it with the engine layout and you still get the ZF.

Hello local guy I'm in Tampa as well.
RS7 you'll make some cheap power at first but then it'll be an uphill battle in cost and heat mitigation. I own a 2018 Performance. Last year before the refresh. Keep in mind the current gen RS7 is 400-500lbs HEAVIER than the prior generation due to stupid 48V system. Also soft limiters on newer ones (not the 2018 or older)
I owned a Nissan GT-R. $7000 gets you FBO E85 (at least back when I did the platform). Beyond that it gets stupid expensive. Car will be as fast as you want to empty your wallet.
I currently own a Tesla Plaid along side the RS7 (and an R8). I can tell you the Plaid is your best bang for your buck. Out the door run low 9s and upper 140 to lower 150 MPH trap speeds. Hooks up from a dig, monster from a roll.
Good luck with whatever you choose!

Thankyou guys for giving me insight and I am happy to see a Local that is doing similar platforms. My Budget to buy a car cant go over 80,000. This is why I prefer a slightly used Model. So im thin
king of going with an RS7 None Performance witch is 560 HP Then build from there.

Good luck with the purchase. If you're under 80K you'll get faster with a GT-R. Stay clear of 2009-2012 (CBA) lots of creature comforts missing. I had a DBA (2013-2016). 2017+ are nicer on interior. GT-R on FBO E85 will pull an RS7 until you start going bigger turbos. The R&D is still hit and miss I feel after the basic bolt-ons and you'll hit a wall quickly on this platform. I hate BMW in general (like the much older ones) but the current gen M5 a much better V8 TT luxo barge to mod and play with if you want more speed. Plaid is a little out of your budget but I equate that as to a video game cheat code on the street. Decimates everything.

At $80k budget, you’ve got plenty of options most people don’t. I suggest you determine what car you like the best and make it your own.
2 door, 4 door?
Hatch?
All wheel?
Ice versus electric?
Answer these questions and refine your list.

To Be Honest I really Like the GTR but i cant find a descent one unless i spend over 90k witch i cant spend that Much One thing is for sure I want All Wheel Drive. GTR will have to be from 2013 to 2014 if i can find a descent one. I found some really Nice 560 Horsepower RS7's for around
67k to 75k cause i like the 2017+ on the RS7.Lets see. I am still debating witch car with all wheel drive.

Dude I had a 2014 there's nothing wrong with the pre 2017 cars. I just said keep it 2013 or newer. It is "just a Nissan" so don't expect any crazy luxury. I don't feel the scene is like it was when it first came out. It's a glorified Mitsubishi Evo. The RS7 you'll get a lot more creature comforts but they're completely polar opposite cars. I don't think you have a clear goal of what you want. Like the guy above said...

Was mentioned above but I'd also look at the S8's just about the same performance as the RS7( Turbos are a hair different). Crazy luxury, message seats, privacy shades, ETC, and comfortable ZF8 tranny. An when you push the it you'd be more than happy

There isn't a better car than a tuned rs7 under $100k, for combination speed, ride quality (with proper forged wheels and michelins and air ride), and practicality. It's unreal how much you can haul in that little hatch, like an audi pickup truck if needed, while doing 2.5s to 60 (stage 2) and ripping the faces off of anything but a plaid or turbo s, and cruising forever in luxury comfort across the entire country (we did 3000 mi in 3 5 days and werent even tired of it). The only possibly better car in that price range is the new RS6/RS7 but they are heavier so I doubt they are more fun.
I have owned both the DRC and air ride (and s5, s6, sq5, r8v10 gated, q7, abd extensivley driven and tested s8,a8L, basically all audi modelsother a cars, all s cars, rs5, etc), and personally strongly prefer rs7 with the air ride because my back sucks, and it squats a lot better on WOT and plants the rear weight down better with air ride imo. DRC is more composed in high speed turns at the limit but the air ride is better for everyday driving. Carbon ceramics are nice but I wouldn't trade the air ride for them. If you plan to tune it, there is no difference in performance between the "performance" and regular, so you could save yourself $10k to $20k and get an earlier standard rs7 no problem and save the money for mods.
If you are a relatively smaller person, or taller person and have no need for backseat oassengers or kidsould also buy the 800hp RS3 with the mag ride listed on here somewhere as that's like buying 1/2 a twin turbo r8 v10 that will put you in the 9s.
The only reason not to own an RS7 is because it will be difficult to inpossible to ever own anything else.
