hey gang got a quote for my ride-over heating. I got a quote for a new thermostat, new pump, and sensor plus gaskets total of 1900 your thoughts. Also decided to buy extended warranty called safeguard but does not kick in till 20th of august. Have to ask friends to borrow the car.

Pricey yes. But may be worthwhile if the shop offers a solid warranty on their work.
Also check the coolant crossover pipe. That also tends to fail, and while they're in there, might as well.

I had my water pump changed out under warranty at 38k, right after I bought the car used.
Within 3000 miles, 3 months, I needed a new coolant pipe as well.

My take is he let the car sit until the warranty started and recouped nearly $2K of the warranty right off the bat.
