I've been noticing lately my oil temp sitting between 225 and 250 (even with mild driving). I have a EFK installed, and I have not checked to see if its still working...so I know this could be the problem (is there an easy way to test the fan)? I 'd think it should come on when temps are that high, so it should be on when I stop the car at that time, right?

Also, my coolant temp stays normal when driving, but if I park the car, then re-start it a few minutes later (like stopping for gas) the temp reads slightly high...then drops back to normal when I start moving again. I did recently replace the temp sensor with the green ECS version...could it be bad?

It could be your oil cooler. My oil temps were 225+ just like you're describing. I swapped out my oil cooler with an S4 one and now my oil temps haven't been above 220 even with driving in 100 degree heat with the air con.

Thanks for the write-up guys that's good stuff.

I was usually running around 200 but recently its been getting hotter (although it never gets to 250). I was thinking since I already replaced the coolant sensor that it might be the fan temp sensor that needs replacing?

Both fans seem to be working when the car gets hot. When the A/C is on...the temps do not go up. I can't remember is the EFK supposed to come on even if the car is off...or only according to the A/C fan?
