I am running a Porsche big break kit on my 01 S4 Avant. I have noticed when descending a long grade my brakes begin to shudder. I just purchased the car two weeks ago so I have no idea if the brakes where bed in properly. The pads are in good shape but the rotors are getting warped when hot. Short of buying expensive rotors, is there a way I can fix this myself?

Disks might be glazed.
Get the disks lathed, get new pads and bed them in.

Try spraying this on both sides of the rotor then do a quick bedding procedure worked on my A4 108k miles so far on original OEM pads and rotors.

Rotors rarely warp on these cars. Usually with large brakes and high friction pads folks tend to get them glazed by driving with long, light pedal stops. Take the car out on an open road and get car up to 60 or so and do a number of full force complete stops to clean off your rotors. If that is the problem it should clear it up. Generally an easy fix. If really bad I have wet sanded the rotors with 200 grit paper using a sanding block with rotors still on the car.

The problem got real bad. Car shakes badly when breaking on long descents. I will try the 60 mph stop and see if that helps. I found out the car has RotorLab big break kit. I just purchased new rotors from him RotorLab new brake pads. That should hopefully solve the issue.

You need rotors. Front or back? Is the steering wheel shaking?

Front Rotors, rear rotors seem fine. Unless what I am feeling is coming from the rear. But I assume since the steering wheels shakes it's the front.
