Hello,

I'm one on the lucky(dumb) who got the car serviced in Audi and updated to the infamous 30E3.
My 2018 TTRS was Stg1+ from Unitronic. Initial plan was to roll back to a previous known Ecu version (mine was Re:0003) to flash back Stg1. Unfortunately due to the nature of the update a roll back isn't an option.
Uni is working on sourcing the new rev. I'm writing to know if anybody with the 30E3 was able to reflash the ecu or have more info about. Next month I'm due to install hardware for Stg2 and I'm puzzled I'll get stuck on a oem ECU.

Thanks for the help,

Tommaso

ps: I accepted the update to keep the extended warranty, thinking back I wasn't that wise.

Hello, quick update for 30E3 update. Good news for anyone stuck in my situation with the 30E3. Unitronic worked in sourcing the new revision. They found that new OEM revision is backward compatible, so I was able to flash to Stg2 with no problem. Car have been tested and scanned and everything seems fine.
For European owners, if Audi updates your ecu it is possible to roll-back to previous rev. Now valve management came back as it used to be, pedestal valves button is now working properly, no more oddities having valves opened and then automatically closed.

regards,

Tommaso

I guess (?) the 30E3 recall is just for European models, and not affecting US ones
