View Full Version : particles circulating through fuel/oil

I am trying to identify this issue:

-During warm up (when the engine is cold), I have been hearing was sounds to be particles circulating through the fuel/oil/turbo.

It seems correlated to the throttle, & goes away after warm-up. (generally only noticable during the first few minutes in the morning)

It does not sound good (like metalic particles).
-This has been going on for a while; and a recent seafoam treatment + oil change seems to have made it more noticable.

I assume a magnetic drain plug or oil filter could be helpful..?
-Just checking if anyone has gone through this already (and can clarify what I am hearing).

p.s. I ran the seafoam with fresh dino oil & filter.
-ran it for ~10min, & drained the oil out the next morning (it was fairly dark). Then I did another oil change with GCastrol w. a Mobil1 oil filter.

It definately sounds like the deposits are running through the fuel (or maybe water?)
