What happened? At 3000 RPM it vibrates in the car and is suprr loud. The sound seems to come from the engine bay and mostly under the front seats.
Boost leak? Did my mufflers get disconnected?

It sounds like a bad coil pack but no codes.

Go up and down your exhaust, there’s more than likely a hole or damage to the flex section.

I just changed the coil packs and it still sounds like a helicopter so I'll check the exhaust and clamps in sunlight.

Why would coils make your exhaust loud? Lol.. Simple, look for exhaust leaks.

This happened to me once before, and it was because the aluminum brace across the underside of the frame was contacting the exhaust pipes at certain RPMs. I took it off completely and didn't put it back on, think it was t45 or t55 screws. You can bend it back into place too, easy to work with.
Here's a shitty reference pic.

The pipe is disconnected right where the pipe and ridged pipe meet. Can it be repaired? Billy Boat (APR) down pipe and exhaust.

If you take it to a local exhaust shop, they should be able to cut out the old flex section and weld in a new one for $100 or less. If they want much more than that, bring it somewhere else.

Thanks for your help. I found a shop on short notice to do exactly that for $150 CDN ($118 US) plus tax.
The shop manager said he sees this with audis a lot.

But I believe you need to remove, and send back. If you bought the exhaust, id contact them. Or ya can buy a new one off them..new DP is prob about $200-$250, but at least it'll be new.

You might wanna inspect your motor mounts excessive movement will do that kind of damage

Flex pipe is where I would've looked first as well; I had to replace my flex pipe 3x over 9 years with my B6.

3 times? This is my first time after about 10 years.
The motor mount tip is good.

lol I know it sounds ridiculous, but with all of our road salt and snow, it would just rust out every few years.

The repair is leaking. It's not as loud as before. Did they botch the job? or are the engine mounts causing too much flex?

Maybe return to the shop? Do they have some sort of warranty on their work? Is the leak visible/obvious?
