Hello gents! Here am I trying to rebuild my 2.0TFSI and revive it from dead (BPJ 170 found in A6 C6, post here because the A4 is more common with this engine)
When I first got the car, it turned, and that was it. Sounded like no compression. While I was removing parts from it, in the procces I tought that I will get a whole new engine and that it is, until I saw the rods. They where good, normal wear, the bearings too, clear like crystal. The last owner told me that the car showed up the low oil pressure check, but the pump is good, the banace shafts in good condition, doing their job, I didn't knew what to think.
! First problem found, a screw in the oil pan - it was from the oil pan. Some prick did a good job not caring about the engine before
! All intake valves where bent, because of the cams locked up and the timming has gone bad 262515262512262513262510262514262511
When I removed the cyl head, the camshafts where ok-ish. Few scraches here and there, no things to allert me.
When I removed the cam's, well, another story. I will post the pictures.
Well, what I did.
1. Bought a new cyl head, with cams (from a BWA)
2. Bought a VIS Motorsport balanceshaft delete kit
3. Parted out the whole engine without a good reason so now I need gaskets, all of them
What I want to know
1. Well, how exactly the balanceshaft delete will work? As I saw it, it's full. The balance will still work or I need to remove them from the pump assembly? What exaclty is the weak point here, the sprocket itself?
2. I don't have acces to etka, just schemes found in online parts shop. Looking around, I see many many gaskets and o-rings that I need. Where can I find a set? I need to change all of it if I am there with the engine out
Looking foward to your knowledge, thanks!

Looking foward to your knowledge, thanks! For the balance shaft delete(freewheel) you just replace the dampened sprocket with the freewheel, thats it. Should be able to find a complete gasket kit online.

If you search “2.0 tsfi complete engine gasket kit” you’ll get a bunch of options and they should have the majority of what you need. I have access to a diagram database let me know which you need and I can pm or post them.

About the VIS BSD: they have two versions but assuming you have the latest, you “just” install the new cogwheel and you leave the shafts as-is. You’ll need to counter-hold the shafts (screwdriver through oiling passage I think) when torquing the cog but that’s about it (mind the order the tensioner and other parts install also).
Reg. gaskets I find audi.7zap.com useful.
I would get an install tool for the front main seal but the rest is straight forward.

I would love you to send me those! But I find it more useful to post them here as future poor fellas like me will have a solid idea to stick with.
As I dissasembled the whole engine, I left just the block with the crankshaft and pistons. I need pretty much all the torque spec and little tiny gaskets that this engine has [wrench]

Mine took about a week or less. Amazing. But some stuff takes a week to ship inside the US, lol. I also ordered my Verkline subframe bushings at the same time, from UK. Those took about twice the time..

A couple of notes:
1). For a repair manual you have two options:
a) You can get short term access to Erwin and download the relevant repair manuals in PDF form. For example here in the US the minimum access time is 24 hours but you could literally sit in front of your computer and download everything they have for every vehicle in that time.
b) You can find a version of Elsawin for your computer and get a bit better information vs the manuals available through Erwin. You will have to search for how to get this on your own since it’s basically a pirated copy.
2). Since you mentioned low oil pressure you should check the piston oil squirters to see if they are still good. This seems to be an issue with a couple of members here lately and is something you cannot do once your engine is back together.
3) I would also replace the oil pump chain and tensioner while you have the engine apart.
