I'm looking to buy a new aftermarket transmission mount insert because i get the jerky feeling sometimes from the car when it downshifts when i slow down for a red light. From my research the aftermarket transmission mount inserts are supposed to help with this condition along with smooth out the shifting. Anyways has anyone installed this if so what brand did you go with? Currently I'm looking at the CTS and 034 versions. They appear to both be the same but the CTS version is around 30 dollars cheaper

I have the 034 one. Get the CTS if it's cheaper, it's the same piece of metal. I got the 034 one because it was cheaper than the CTS on a Black Friday sale.

I've actually had the ECS one before, but it introduced too much NVH for me. I have no idea what it was, but it would cause my car to shake uncontrollably during idle. Others reported no issue and we rechecked installation twice over. However, in motion and during initial engine start, there was no vibration whatsoever in the drivetrain from the ECS so in my opinion, the ECS one is better all around if you're looking to target just that. I believe the 034 insert plus the new bushing mounts (https://store.034motorsport.com/density-line-transmission-mount-upgrade-b8-audi-a4-s4-rs4-a5-s5-rs5-q5-sq5.html) would make for the same effect.

Also, get the new bolts from the dealer since it's cheaper there. Neither of the ones you listed come with new bolts, but ECS does.

Yea i read about that issue with the ECS version. Definitely dont want to introduce any shaking lol

I'll buy and test out the CTS one. I plan on getting the new bolts with it as well

I have the CTS one on my 6-speed. It def introduced a ton of NVH if my car is not in dynamic. The few extra RPM's situate the problems, but if I forget to toggle the modes, its teeth chattering at least in my car. I will say, shifts feel much better with the mount insert so i didnt go back to stock.

sounds like the install/effect on the manual version might be different based on this thread

I drive the automatic version but based on what i've read (only a couple data points) there should be little to no nvh added on the automatic. Mine should be in this week so i'll probably install it on Saturday. i have about a 30 minute drive from the shop i'll use a lift at so i'll get a good before and after

Just installed the CTS insert this morning, took about 5 minutes. I drove for about 30 minute afterwards, shifts definitely feel much smoother. The jerkiness of the stock is no longer there at leastnot so far. As far as NVH, I'm not seeing any or at least not any that's noticeable

I'm sure you notice it even more with the DSG since you have an extra gear to work through.
