I have been searching around tonight for software, but i'm not sure whats up to date and not. Above a K04 are there any decent programs? All I hear lately is go standalone. What is proven above a K04. I have a 2000, what kind of software is there for the GTrs range? I know there is tons of discussion about software, I just went through most of it. Im looking more for a summary about whats up to date and proven. I wont even throw any names out.

It depends on your goals. You know about all the recent msuings of Unitronic. I would shy away from them. I'm using Chris Tapp software. I have yet to install it - waiting on injectors to arrive- but his software is proven. His customer service is excellent and he fully supports his product. I've spoken in depth to somone running a setup similar to mine and he's extremely happy with it. Look into Tapp. He can write you s/w for 28RS, 3071, Eliminators, etc.

The B5s will most likely never have a big name tuner spend time/money to make a BT program for us...since they are more interested in spending time on the new FSi 2 liter. I can't really blame them, why spend valuable resources on a program that only a limited amount of people will be driving in 5-10 years.

I think our best bet is to get someone like Jeff Moss with GIAC sw to create something...his programs like FX seem to be doing well...but that may take some time??

ATP has the Mika Tuning program which has been updated, but not many people are using it that I know of. Maybe someone can share?

PES has the T28 program (which may be your best bet for now).

Uni...been mentioned above.

IIRC Tapp only does ndbw and this person has a 2000 which is a dbw.

For the 2000 there is

APR

PES T28(talk to Jeff about the chip austin had for it)

Mika(only know of 1 person running it on his 2000 and isnt 100% happy with it)

Unitronics( a few said it worked ok on their 2000)

034 stand alone but you would have to convert to ndbw(pedal, cable and throttle body).

If you get a wideband o2 sensor you can tweak your chip with Lemmiwinks.. it won't be 100% perfect but it will work fine if you know what you're doing.
