Hey i have a problem and i guess im looking for some possible solutions or some things to try. my sig isnt working so my mods are GIAC K04, Custom 2.5 magnaflow, ecode TP, and Ngk Bkr7e spark plugs.
If i slowly creep up the RPM's to about 6000, the car runs fine. The problem is when i got WOT. When i go WOT, only in the higher rpm area, the car seems like its back firing. feels like its studdering, almost as if it were a misfire. Im not getting any CEL, or any misfire codes. i just replaced my ICM, and im sure its not a coilpack. Think maybe my spark plug gap is too big or too small? the plugs have maybe 3000 miles on them, so i dont think one of them is faulty. i saw a post before the crash but i dont remember much about it, think it could be a TIP collapse?
its tricky though and it angers me, because everytime i downshift to pass someone, that stupid shit happens, and it feels like its not good for the car. any suggestions?

possibly overboosting.......MAF......try new spark plugs.....check codes, you might be throwing some without even a CEL

Might want to do a few logs with the vag while making this issue happen.

how is it that you clean a maf? ive got a k&n which could attribut to the problem.

soak it in some kind of something correct?

Alcohol, but make sure it's 100% dry before you put it back in, I didn't and fried the MAF. It was broken anyway, giving readings of like 120g/s. I did it on a friday evening too, so I had to wait until monday to get a new one while my car was running like complete asshole stalling out at idle.

my experience with the same thing:

i ended up replacing all the PCV valves and that finally did the trick.

why are you sure that it isnt your coils?
