Yes, I know the obvious answer is pay for a subscription you cheapskate. True, but for some reason I do not want to, so here is how I skip the Ads.
Now, this has NEVER worked for me in any other car other than my RS5. I have no idea why, but it does work, at least for me, in my RS5. I told my wife how to do it and she said, "I'm not going through all that just to save a few seconds of ads", but for me it is worth it. You will each have to decide for yourselves and see if it even works in your cars.
The very moment I hear an ad begin I lower my volume all the way, until you see the speaker off icon appear. Meaning, the system is muted. Then, wait a split second and raise the volume again and mine skips the remainder of the ad and jumps to the next song.
Once you do it for a while you can complete the entire process in about three seconds thereby eliminating an annoying ad. For me, it only takes a couple of seconds, I get rid of the ad and I am in the car with nothing else going on anyway, so why not. It will not work if it is a double ad - back to back ads.
I try and stay active on the forum and had nothing else to write about tonight. :)
