So just picked up an 06 A3 2.0t 6spd.

-Integrated Engineering Connecting Forged Rods
-IE Forged Pistons (Over bored by 0.50)
-ARP Head studs
-ARP Connecting rod hardware
-Large Garret 3076R Ball bearing turbo
-Forge Brand Blowoff Valve
-Forge Brand PCV Valve
-Greddy Electronic boost controller
-Unitronic Stage 3 tune

Problem is between 2200-3200 RPMs if I try to build boost it misfires badly. Once Im over 3200 no problems and will hold 10psi boost ( currently have the controller off, so running just on wastegate ).

Im leaning towards weak coils or needing smaller gapped plugs. Thinking I may have spark loss due to low rpm/cylinder pressure. Just seems odd thats the ONLY time it does it.

Also of note is the P.O reconnected the stock DV to keep the cel off from having the BOV. Not sure if this would cause issues?

So any thoughts?

when you mean "build boost" I suppose you mean WOT?
Could be what you mentioned. Could also be fuel pump control (too lean?). Try a lower octane? Carbon? Clogged injectors? Or since it works at high RPM, could it be the opposite, too rich because the tuned mapping isn't prepared for your current weather conditions... wild guesses in the wind

No, Not even WOT... just any throttle, once boost starts to spin up past 0 it starts throwing a fit. So long as I keep throttle so the turbo doesn't spool then It's fine. Then once past 3200 I can do whatever and it doesn't care.

I do know I have a bad upstream o2. Working on ordering a new one as it was PITA to find one with 36" wire.

I do know its a bit too rich, which is why I was thinking spark loss do to saturation wrong gap. Going to regap plugs and check that this weekend. Have to get the 02 sensor on order. Lots of issues to fix from P.O, but the misfire issue really is the worst atm.
