215 is a kinda small. Any reason why you'd want that?

i have 235's on 8" wide... fit great. no rubbing at all either!

Why woudl you want 215s? I have 235s and they are perfect for a 8.5" wide wheel. IMO, the 225s looked a little stretched (not my style).

losing the tire's protection an easy way to curb your wheels. i ran 235 pilot sports on an 8" wide wheel and couldn't have curbed the rims if i wanted to. i stuck a set of 225/50-16 on the stock 16x7. no way to curb those either.

I run 235 on my 8.5s.

If anything, I would go for something too wide, rather than too narrow.

i'm starting to like how the european guys have hardcore stretched tires. just wondering how it would look on our cars.

^^^For a daily driver? I had a friend back in houston run 215/45's on a 9" wide rim hit a pot hole he didn't see and the rest is history.

Yeah, your car is not slow, you "Whipped" me! Anyway, I ran a 225 on my 9 on the GTI in the back. Remember, that was pretty stretched.

stretched look is pretty cool IMO, but not everyone likes it. 215 is a pretty good stretch tho. i have 19x8 and its got a slight stretch to it, nothing too extreme, but if you do stick with falkens as they seem to be the choice for stretching tires

What's your offset with 9.5" wheels? You're not rubbing while being that low?
