You might have seen my earlier posts on faulty brand new tires and a bent wheel. I have been raising heck with Audi USA since I was sold a car with bad tires and a bent wheel that would not road force balance. Two of them would not go lower than 32/33 lbs. on the road force balancer. Obviously, this was the cause of my vibration.

Anyway, I got tired or arguing with them (which is exactly what they hope you will do) and bought a set of Michelin PS 4S. They were put on today with the following results.

LF - 2 lbs. RF - 7 lbs.
LR - 11 lbs. RR - 12 lbs. with bent wheel.

The vibration is completely gone and I no longer even have a need to repair or replace the wheel at this time.

I had one tire that had 44 lbs of road force. Contisportcontact 6. Was replaced under warranty no questions asked for the same issue you were having.

Are those readings before or after road force/match mounting?

All the nos. I have listed above are with road force/match mounting. The 30' on the bad tires (Pirelli'), and the new low nos. with the Michelin'. I believe most consider anything 10 lbs. or below to be excellent. So, up front I am golden. The rears are a little higher, but still very good and more tolerable in the rear.

I'd keep a close eye on it.. bent rims can crack easier as they've already been compromised.

Will be doing the same thing. The Pirelli P7's that came on my car just don't want to balance well. Dealer tried once regular balance, once Road Force. Frankly I think this is a combo of tires and dealer not doing a good balance job. But two years ago I bought an A4 in Florida, CPO, had the P7s as well. Same feeling I get with these. Swapped for a set of Conti's, issue went away.

I didn't see the post regarding the bent wheel from factory. Can't keep fighting? I'm worried the Michelins are only masking the problem.

You are 100% correct. Unfortunately, I had many Threads / posts on this ongoing issue. My original post on this particular thread wound up not being the end of my saga. For me to ultimately have my vibration completely fixed, I switched to a second set of Michelin' (replaced at N/C by Michelin), had to buy a new wheel and had the Hunter rep. go to the dealership to supervise and assist the tech. with the REAL, proper way to utilize their machine. All these things combined got me all single digits (5/7/7/9) and a beautiful ride.
