Today i went in to this place to install my panasonic head unit. If you have an aftermarket cd/mp3 player you probably went thru some sh!t to get it installed, because no where have I found the installation kit to replace the symphony radio. Either way, I went to this place today and the dude told me it would be roughly 130-140 bucks to get a costum kit in there. I dont know, i know it would be a little cheaper without the vinyl (spelling) to match, but it still seems like a ripoff, what do you think?

When I was working with car stereo installation proffessionally, average cost for any "custom" labor was $40-$50 per hour... This was 10-12 years ago, so $130 -$140 range for custom dash kit with vinyl sounds fair for a shop... Dont get me wrong, it is alot of money, but fair price imo.

I think they have that part posted as fitting the 2000-2001 but I've read accounts stating it doesn't actually fit.

Is anyone running the schoche kit in a 2000-2001 in place of the symphony HU?

is that including re-wiring around the bose system? if so, and it includes install parts, that's a good deal.
