How reliable is the 2010 S4 and what should I be on the look out for, do they have more or less problems than a 2011 Audi A4 2.0t Quattro ?

Got mine a year ago with 70k miles on it and since I’ve put 20k on it. In that time I’ve had to do the PCV and front control arms if that helps you at all.

I have 6MT with 125k. Put 30k on it in 1 year. Replaced water pump and tstat. I didn't know about the PCV when I got it but cars running fine

Mine has 106000 miles on it with APR stage 2 dual pulley and APR heat exchange. Last year I had to replace the thermostat, had a coil pack go bad and replaced leaking valve cover gaskets.

IMO the big issue is the DSG - it’s the ticking bomb here.
I believe the 3.0T to be one of the most reliable engines Audi has built, if well maintained. I have 140k and almost 11 years on mine and the belly pan comes off without evidence of leaks. The rest of the engine is clean, as well.
The 2.0 had a problem with rings, iirc, that necessitates basically a rebuild of the engine. The tiptronic, however, doesn’t have anywhere near the issues the DSG does. If the A4 has had its engine fixed, it is likely has the lowest potential repair costs but it isn’t nearly as fun. :)

3.0T good
DSG Bad
Reminds me of Zoolander lol

The 3.0T with a 6speed behind it is a great car. Clutches and coolant leaks are the only issues I see(And the PCV valve assembly)

101k on mine. Bought with 75k over 3 years ago. Did the DSG service at 80k and regular oil changes at 5k intervals. It's been EPL stage 1 since 80k and stage 2 at about 90k.
Only mechanical issue I've had is leaking oil level sensor and a torn cv boot. Also replaced the shocks and brakes at about 95k, but those wearable items. That said, the headliner has started sagging in the rear. Makes me want to cry...
Overall reliable car the last 3 years though.
