Hey all, I have a service manual, but it does not provide part numbers with it’s exploded diagrams.

I need the part numbers for the oil seals that live in the rear lower timing cover. It’s two round and one oval I believe.

update, after replacing and resealing my oil pan, and upper timing covers and then cleaning the block thoroughly, it sat for a week, now I identified that my rear lower timing cover is leaking near the bottom and possibly my RMS as well (haven’t gotten that far)

Was hoping to leave everything down there sealed up, but looks like I’m in for a chain/tensioner service now too! May as well while the motor is out.

Thanks in advance

That's the part diagram for the block, shows the rear cover (7) which includes the rear main seal (1). If you're talking about something else, go back up to engine and keep looking.

Oddly, I had the 3.0T manual open to the timing chain cover page. I take it item 11 "seals - renew" is your concern. I would guess they are (29) and (30). But the part page says (30) is used twice, while I only see one oval seal in the repair manual diagram.

I have a new RMS, Yes it would be 29 & 30, there are 2 round and an oval.

Thanks!

And thanks for the diagram!
