you should first decide which program is available to suit these configs. It is not a jap car where ECU program can be easily found.

Get GT series as I know you can source the whole system easily.

On my previous EvoIII, I had a high flow ball bearing T-04s, you need a custom ECU. But the car was bulit for drag racing. that's another thing you should consider. Do you race or just want some mild power?

thanks for that reply bud i should probably just give up now im obviously not ready to work on a car..........wow [rolleyes]
by the way t3t4s come in different sizes

anyways i have a friend that will tune my car for wich ever turbo i go with. i have my block sitting in the garage with forged rods waiting to go in. im just not sure wich turbo i wanna go with. was kinda looking for people with the different setups to chime in but i guess thats not gunna happen

Are you stepping up to a 2.0L or staying 1.8L? How much lag do YOU want? Little more info then which one should I get could help out some of the responses.

with a built bottom end i would go with the 3071r. refresh the head with new valve springs and retainers and you should have a very nice powerband from 4500-8000 rpm. the 2871R moves the powerband down 500rpm or so and would be nicer around town.

here are a couple dyno plots on a 2.0 liter wrx. atp's dynos are questionable but this gives you an idea what kind of power you're looking at.

i plan on staying with a 1.8 was thinking about setppin up to 2.0 but i dont wanna spend the money on it ill be using my stock pistons to cut down on cost
the reason i was thinking about the t3t4 is cause they are so damn cheap compared to the GT;s but lag will be an issue even though it wont be too much worse than the 3071

o and im not going by atp's numbers they never seem to be on point
im going by my friends dyno charts at his shop hes putting 290 to the wheels with the 28
