View Full Version : Misfires after changing Intercoolers

I just finished changing out the supercharger IC and the car is still shaking on idle also idle rpm is way below 1k rpm. Scanned the codes and these came up anybody have any idea what it could be now?222728

Everything get reconnected properly, you rechecked all your wiring and vacuum lines? Did you replace both ICs? Possible one of them may have been damaged during install maybe?

I rechecked all the wiring and vacuum lines everything looked good to me. Yes I did replace both hopefully they did not get damaged during install. The car has a different exhaust tone I can tell sounds a bit high pitch and also you can just hear it misfiring during idle. You can feel the car shaking if you sit in it

If you changed them because one or both were leaking, you probably have two fouled spark plugs. Mine fouled #3 two days in a row(original and replacement) and and threw EPC faults under load when the cooler was leaking.

Scanned the car today again and got these codes now. 222813
222814

You forgot to push the flaps down when putting the manifold back on. Need the pull the charger and manifold back off.

Yup, I did that too. You need the flaps to stay behind the divider. When you have them positioned correctly, they will rest against the divider as shown in the pic below:
