BBS refinishing (removal of clear coat on barrels)

I have a set of BBS RC501s (2 piece) that came with my car. They have seen better days. Does anyone have any advice as to how to strip the clear coat from the barrel? I’ve already attempted to media blast them... it’s working really well for the center pieces but even blasting isn’t making any headway removing the factory clear coat from the barrels. Even in the areas where the clear was already starting to peel the blasting did nothing to remove the coating!
If anyone has any advice or can recommend a product that will strip these things I would appreciate it! I’m thinking it will have to be some serious stuff considering what I’ve already tried!

Might be easier to find a good wheel refinishing shop. They might be able to dip them in a paint stripping solution.
Or you could try one of the DIY paint strippers from your local parts store.
