I bought one of these when I got my old C7 A6 because the factory Audi sunglasses holder is a joke. I posted this in that sub and a few people were happy with the share and ordered is, so thought I'd post this here.
This is the one I ordered: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/aw/d/B075YNH1WC?ref=ppx_pt2_mob_b_prod_image
Takes a while to ship, but totally worth it. 20 second install, and I have somewhere to put my glasses/sunglass again. Fits my Ray Bans aviators no problem. 222193222194222195222196

Lol that's one of the most odd complaints I have about my car. So tight to fit any glasses in factory spot

My glasses fit fine in the stock location
Are folks wearing glasses like these?

The holder in my SQ5 has never fit any of my sunglasses, and no they aren't the Elton John glasses up there. It's the most useless thing in my car.

I turned my sunglass holder into a stealth hidden radar detector lol.
So no sunglasses for me either

I can't see why it wouldn't. I would think the grab handles are the same between B8 and B8.5. Plus, the inserts are on sliders for small adjustments.

I noticed it when I had my A6. Sure I "could" fit my glasses in there, but definitely not my sunglasses. and the last thing I want to do is force my glasses in there and have them get scratched.

OOOO, pics!I took apart the detector and mounted the components in the headliner and pulled power off the light harness. Then I ran the displays through the bottom wall of the flip down tray and added a stop inside to only open a certain amount

That is cool. But if the components are in the headliner, doesn't that mean the antenna is behind the roof of the car? The signal will be somewhat blocked by the metal

Its been reliable so far.

It's a detector or jammer?
Typically a detector works better when mounted higher up

Typically a detector works better when mounted higher upIt's just a detector, but the sensors are about 12" off the ground, so far it's been reliable
It picks up a lot of K band and if a cop has Ka radar or laser it alerts me as well..I get the other x band and a few others
What I can't say is if it gets it 100% of the time but the vast majority of the time, I'm not doing anything to worry about

LOL I guess that's where we differ. It's too easy to go fast in this car. Many times I think "why are people ahead going so slow" then looking at the speedo, realize we're going 80+ MPH
