I know there is several threads about using coupons on the advance auto batteries but I cannot find any that allow use for batteries. I got the coupon in my email and batteries are excluded as well as the coupons available I could find online. Does anyone know of a working coupon or way to get one for a advance auto battery. Thanks guys.

I purchased a DieHard battery from Advanced Auto for my father in law’s G37 2 weeks ago. Tried to use FEB22 coupon but didn’t apply for batteries. Good luck finding one

Get the one with the most CCA. I went with the optima instead. Advanced has them as well.

I believe Advanced changed the terms a few months ago that excluded batteries unfortunately

when Advanced obtained the DIE Hard brand the discounts disappeared. I would try Auto Zone or Pep boys.Check out their web sites

Either is fine. I'm on a H8 AGM from AAP. Platinum model, I think. I had a coupon. No issues.

Picked up an H8 AGM. For coding can I just change the serial number and keep the rest the same so the ECM knows it has a new battery? I don’t see a BCM code on the battery, however I did install it in the dark and may have missed it.

What is your car's PR code for the factory battery? PR-Jxx? What part number is already set in the adaptation?
Is your battery roughly 92Ah? Part number for the 92Ah AGM group 49 aka H8 that the CAN Gateway might know is 4F0 915 105 E.

No need to recode. Battery will adapt on its own. Quite a while back i ran a pole on this forum to see who didnt recode their battery and who had problems as a result. Over 1/2 who responded didnt recode and no one reported any issues, I believe most did not recode due to lack of access to a vag com or similar. But there is really no need but recode if you want

You don't have to recode. If you really wanted to, just change a letter. Any letter in the code line.
Make sure you don't forget the breather vent tube!

Haha thanks. I did get the breather vent tube. At first I thought it was a wire and couldn’t figure out how to get the top of the battery off lol.
I did end up just changing a letter in the battery code with VAGCOM and it reset and now the battery shows 100% SOC. Now I just need to tackle my blower motor as the vents aren’t blowing air out. I thought potentially energy management was stopping the blower from working, but doesn’t seem to be the case...
