OIL LEVEL SENSOR DEFECTIVE

Got this error on the dash has anyone with b8 s4 encountered it before if so where is the sensor located can i do it myself pls help 221077

Next time you do your oil change, change out the sensor since it's on the bottom of the oil belly pan. You should see the bottom of the oil sensor on the pan belly and it's like 2 Torx screws I think. The part isn't too expensive either at like 60 or 70$ I think

Thanks man would u know if it's common problem with these car cuz with my luck I know it's not just the sensor looool seems way too easy of a fix if u knkw what I mean

I think I changed mine when I first got my B8 S4 at 91k. I'm at 125k now and haven't had an issue. I bought an extra because I think a couple people had issues with the sensor going out.

Also suggest buying a real dipstick to manually check your oil the old fashioned way, for piece of mind.
