What are some good replacement filters for the SRM intakes on the C7 S6/7?

I know people run the K&N RX-3800 and RU-1770, but Im looking for something that isnt oiled.

What are some good dry filters out there?

I settled on the aFe power dry pro filters.
Seems to be one that gets mentioned a lot during my research on the board.

Why no oil? Correct me if I’m wrong but can’t the K&Ns go 50,000 miles before needing to be cleaned and re-oiled (or replaced)?

from what i gather in the community, those who run dry filters don’t want to risk over oiling the filter causing the excess to get into the charger and the engine. Says our cars don’t have a MAF sensor, which filter oil could cause that to malfunction, so that really isn’t a factor for us if it’s true.

Read a tip on oiled filters, tap the newly oiled filter on a table until you see no more oil splashing off. That should be a good indicator it has the right amount of oil.

Honestly though, gains are minimal between oil and dry, would probably see a bigger difference simply by keeping it clean.

Maybe in a controlled environment. That claim is largely dependent on multiple factors - cleanliness, dirt, salt, etc.

Oiled filters will clog easier, since the oil traps all particulates, especially in a dusty/dirty environment. Depending where you live - if the filters are open/exposed - you should be cleaning and reapplying the oil at much more regular intervals.
