Looking at purchasing a transmission mount for my A6, and I was recommended by another forum member to look at Eurocode. Upon quick glance it looks to be a very similar part to the 034, but it is HALF THE PRICE!
Is Eurocode lower quality? Whats the disadvantage? Anyone try the Eurocode one?

Pretty much everyone runs the Eurocode stuff. There is no disadvantage. 034 has a high markup on all their parts, plain and simple.

Seems like they are made of the exact same type of aluminum. I just find the 50% discount for Eurocode amazing. How could 034 justify that markup?

Keep it simple... its a piece of metal, filling a void. How can you really mess that up? What engineer can't figure that out?

034 says they make theirs "CNC-Machined In-House" in Fremont California. Maybe Eurocode gets theirs CNC-machined in Alabama!

My guess would be Chinese manufactured vs USA manufactured.
Just because 034's price is higher doesn't mean they're trying to rip anyone off or that they have a crazy mark-up.
I've been in manufacturing and distribution for over 30 years. When it comes to CNC machining, there's a huge upfront cost for the equipment and programming. Any US company that owns and operates such equipment to machine its own parts will naturally, and understandably, seek to offset that cost by applying a certain percentage to the selling cost of each part machined. Since it's likely that 034 machines only its own parts and does not perform the service for many others, that relative cost is higher than it would be for a Chinese company, for example, that machines parts for many different retailers in its global supply chain. Customers who buy mass-produced parts from a supplier making the part for many others will typically pay a much lower part cost, as they're buying the part and do not have to add in their own cost of equipment to produce it.

I emailed Eurocode today regarding the drivetrain inserts manufacturing location. They stated that a local CNC shop makes them for them in California.
I am willing to pay a little extra for USA manufactured items vs China but in this case it appears that both are USA made while one is considerably cheaper.

Glad to hear that!
