Hey everybody, in September I totaled my S7 you might’ve seen the purple one on here from time to time. In November I picked up an M8. The m8 is a nice car and extremely fast. But I’m not into tracking it especially on a lease and I really can’t use the speed much. Really thinking about getting out the lease because the m8 isn’t worth what I’m paying right now and just financing a used S7 again but probably a 2017-2018 this time. OR an S5 sportback just because the tech is way better. I prob won’t because the looks just won’t make me happy enough. How should I go about this I’m looking at 40-50k range tops most of these are 30-50k miles on it already. What did you guys mostly look/watch for when buying this car used? My old one was a baby at 11k miles so I didn’t really care

Welcome back!

I would look for one who had an oil change every 5k miles or less, single owner. Beside this I can't think of anything out of the ordinary. I was lucky enough to find a '16 s7 with 12k miles on it for 46k. Got it a few months ago, about to go stage 3 [:)]. I also looked closely at the S5 sportback but it's missing that V8.

Also if you can find one with the sport exhaust and do the center suitcase delete you won't be disappointed with the sound IMO.

Where did you look to get the S7 for that deal? I’m just curious

S7 versus RS7?

Rs7 gets a thumbs up it’s such a beast of a car. But for the price it’s not something I’m looking at. It’s about a 15-20k + premium for it

Local Audi dealer in Boston (Audi Brookline) has a 14 RS7... (50k with 53k miles) and Biener Audi has a nice 16 S7 (43K with 23k miles)

Yeah that 16 S7 looked nice until I saw the car fax....3 owners, and an accident, those are hard miles......With that said I bet you can still find a nice 17 S7 for around 50k, but not much under, thats whats driving me to look at '18 S6's, you can find them for around $45K

Nice post! I'm looking for 2017-2018 S6! I had same questions and concerned about the turbo oil screens - so definitely looking for the lowest miles possible, one-owner, etc.

Doesn’t necessarily make it less likely to fail. People who religiously maintain their vehicles have had failures.

No one is safe! Lol.

Correct - unfortunately! But at least it helps take one variable or relieves like a Placebo Effect to think less miles means less build up....?

So you are saying, buy a higher mileage one with bad turbo's on the cheap and upgrade!!! [:D]

There are lots of places to look for used cars, Carvana was mentioned, also Autotrader, they both have many choices in Audi models.

Finding one locally in the color and options you want is not easy.
