I am customizing some new wheels and am trying to get the offsets right for the look I want.

I was curious to see what would happen if you hypothetically mounted the new OEM 2021 Audi 22" wheel on a C7 in order to see where Audi went in terms of offset...The new wheels now being 10.5" wide, I was curious as to whether the offsets pushed the wheels out for a better look from the factory. Or was this accomplished by a wider axle, or by the wheels offset alone. Looks like the axle stance is unchanged based on the calculations. Were looking at a 34.9mm poke over stock.

https://www.willtheyfit.com/index.php?width=275&aspect=30&diameter=21&wheelwidth=9&offset=35&width2=285&aspect2=25&wheel_size=22&wheel_width=10-5&offset2=19

This is very interesting because the Oem 20" and 21" definitely needed spacers IMO (at least .75"). Looks like Audi factored this into the 2021 wheel fitments by playing with the offsets.
Just saw a RS6 Avant in person and I gotta say, the stances on the latest models are far more aggressive than Audi has ever attempted. The wheels finally sit out by the fender lip. Kudos to Audi on taking the lead on this. The new Audi wheels use a 19mm offset as opposed to 35mm of the previous gens.

Who are you? We don't want 22" wheels on our C7 cars. Please don't take this as disrespectful, but while I like your car, your contribution to this particular forum is barely tenable.
Again, this is not personal, it's just that...

Nice car phunkfarm.

You again? Would you be greatly offended if I respectfully told you that I don't really care what you like? How about you simply ignore topics you don't care about. This post was about offsets/spacing. and how Audi is addressing in on the 2021's, nothing more. I may see you at a meet one day, we don't want a problem. Chill out.

Interesting! Have you actually tried fitting the wheels or just gone through the site calculator?

The first 2021 RS7 popped into my view yesterday actually. Was interesting to see the differences between my C7.5.

I agree stance is much better. Nothing bugs me more than companies that make amazing, aggressive looking cars with a pathetic stance (ie Ferrari F8/monster truck) First FIRST thing I did with mine (well along with many other things all at the same time but wasn't ignored none the less!) was lowered and spacers.

Yea, that was the point here. That Audi got it right. The RS6 Avant has got the perfect stance. The oem offsets are 19mm on the 22” 2021’’s. I’ll didn’t see a 2021 with 21” so I am not certain if the non upgraded wheel also carries the stance forward. I’m having some custom wheels made so I want to get the offsets to mirror this.

I agree. The 22s on the 2021 cars do look nice. My personal preference is that the C7 platform maxes out at 21" wheels. Anything larger is too big IMHO. But thats obviously all subjective to personal taste. Curious to see what it would look like, but probably too big for the platform.

I was amazed that the c8 allroad still has a 45 sidewall even on a 20inch wheel, gives me ideas for putting on some all terrains...

Pout to Audi if you’re pissed about something. I’m sure they have an 800 number. I’m talking about offsets while u continue to whine about their decision to go to 22.

Again, I am referring to offset, not diameter. Just using the new wheel as a tool to determine the poke needed to modernize the look of my aftermarket wheel. One doesn't need to like or dislike 22's in order to appreciate the offset which can be transferred on to any diameter wheel. Not sure why I keep repeating this.

The 26s are so dope! Lower it? Nah, let's cut chunks out of the body so you can at least you know steer! I'm frantically googling 2028 RS7s to get some guidance on what offset my 2016 should use, next next gen sets the standard for fitment.

All jokes aside. I'm still not following what the point of this thread was.

Offset is offset and there are way better fitted car images on this forum than a stock anything, were we looking at tire profile of a 285/30 on a 10.5? The willitfit link is for a 285/25 on a 10.5 which is not the same as the C8 tire so not exactly comparable and different brand tires are different. I use google images when I want to try to envision what a certain tire size might look like on a certain wheel width.
