Just called Patriot Warranty got a 3 year quote for $2270 no delectable, free rim and tire protection and 2 free oil changes at Audi. Anyone use them or heard about them, saw them on the 4.0T forum.

I personally would not recommend them.

I had them quote a couple other vehicles, and felt way too much like a scam based on all the things they were willing to throw in for a price that didn’t even pass the smell test. I ran away quickly.

Don’t give up! Call daily. I’d likely call 2-3 times a day! Hope it all works out - let us know!

This is the latest:

I called the repair shop today and no one from Patriot Warranty or any inspector contacted them. So i called them directly and they said the email/message was lost and they will contact the shop today. Around 6 p.m. central time i contacted the repair shop to see if anyone contacted them and the answer is still a no.

Let me predict what they will end up telling you after giving a run around. They will offer you a goodwill amount that will be negligible since whatever went wrong is not covered...blah blah. Just cancel and get ready dot another run around to actually get your check. I found I got event when I let them know I was recording the calls.

Good lucku friend.

Update (Feb 3): I called again to on Friday morning (Jan 29) to get a status on the inspector coming out to the repair facility. patriot Warranty said the inspector will contact me or the repair facility the same day, and no one contacted us or showed up. Monday (February 1) the inspector called and came out to do his inspection. I called on Tuesday (Feb 2) afternoon to get a status. I was told they are going through the authorization and call back in two hours. The repair shop called and they had nothing. Today (Feb 3) i called in the morning and the agent gave me an authorization number and told me to have the repair facility contact Patriot Warranty. Tomorrow will be 3 weeks since the claims was put in.

3 weeks! That is just absurd. The one thing I give Patriot is they always answer the phone when you call. Then the runaround begins.

Record them, let the know you ar recording, then ask for firm dates and numbers. They will try to talk over you. Be firm. Good luck.

Along with giving you the authorization code, have they told you everything will be covered?

Update February 5th:

-The repair facility called and said the Patriot warranty will cover about 2/3 of the total bill. So i called Patriot Warranty and they told me they don't pay for mark up and they pay the hourly rates they established. I asked them then i need you to tell me what facility around my place of residence that will perform the work for the amount they allowed. They told me they cant do that. Then, the agent said ( and its recorded ) they can supply the parts (to include refurbished, inferior quality) to the repair facility and the part will be under warranty until the contract expired. So i will have to find a repair facility willing to accept their hourly rate of $125. All of the dealers and Indy shops around here charges $175+.

Conclusion:

-Record everything from the moment you ask for a quote.
-Before buying the contract make sure to ask what do they pay hourly rates.
-prepared for a 3 weeks wait with almost daily calling. I had to be the middle man constantly calling 4-5 times a week
-for the money its worth it. You get what you paid for.
