So what's the overall thoughts/reviews from people running the fluidamper crank pulley on a 3.0 supercharger

I'd like to upgrade before I have a crank issue and other possible damage

Can’t speak on the 3.0T, but I had it on my 1.8T, and it was great. Resolves lightweight flywheel clutch chatter (obviously not an issue with us) and will reduce drivetrain loss.
In terms of replacing the crank pulley, the fluidampr is the only one that actually has added benefits over the rest.

I've had it since this past spring, no issues at all except that you have to grind down a little bit of the casting on the block for clearance for the belt path.

What size are you looking for? My fluidampr is coming off next month if you're interested. I have the 183mm. It's worked flawlessly on my car for the last 3 years or so (10k miles).

I know Loe who was one of the pioneers of the 3.0t platform and he said he noticed slightly smoother idle compared to one of those super lightweight pulleys.

I haven't brought this car to the track yet or anything though so can't provide too much info in that regards.

Why is this? Fluidamper does not disclose this prior to purchase? If this is the case, then I'm pissed, the crank pulley costs 650. There should be no reason for any fucking grinding! Excuse my French.

Excuse my French.Don't be misled by that guys post. The grinding is only necessary if you exceed a certain size for the pulley. I believe greater than 187mm will need grinding. It's also not fluidamprs issue. Any pulley after a certain size you will need to grind down the nub.

Also, it's only $650 now? I'm surprised, it used to be much more expensive from what i remember.

I'm looking for stock size crank diameter
No overdrive rings basically, I'm stage 1 apr for now.

And I heard you have to grind for the very large diameter rings

You'll have to do it with any larger crank pulley. Doesn't matter who makes it, I learned about it by researching dual pulley setups. It's not a big deal, shop said it was a few minutes of work and that's it. You're not grinding the pulley just a little spot on the engine casting.

It is disclosed. It’s literally in their installation guide.

This has nothing to do with Fluidampr. Some blocks require clarencing of a nub to clear the new position of the belt from the larger crank pulley. Usually not an issue with a smaller than 187mm crank.

Thanks, my OD iABED pulley is 187mm, so I assume. I'm good? The 187mm APR pulley on now has had no issues with the belt fitting correctly.

Fluidampr is only made in one size, OEM size. IABED are the one that made larger pulleys that work with the fluidampr, so you need to get one of their kits if you’re wanting to go bigger.

So would you be selling the crank pulley and outer ring?

So would you be selling the crank pulley and outer ring?I assume you were asking me. Yes I'll be selling my fluidampr as well as the outer ring sometime next month as I have an appt to do a few things.

Unfortunately i have the 183mm size so it's not the stock size that you're looking for.
