Hi guys , so yesterday i took a drive to capital city wich is like 180km in mid way car showed a error that i should switch off engine and check coolant level.. i stoped at higway checked coolant tank and it was dry .. i added coolant .. drowe another 40 km and it showed same message ..

i noticed that the fron of the engine where belts are there is coolant everywhere .. on fans on bottom on sides etc.. i removed cower of the engine and i saw that there is a pudle of coolant near the egr module or whatever it is called in middle of the v engine shape..
my question is what can cause this tipe of fluid loss ? is it egr coolant radiator or some hoses or what >? today i drove my car back to my city and it didnt lose a coolant it didnt show any errors .

i was home for about an hour when i got back in my car i checked the tank again and it was half empty again .

so im kinda lost . how can it loose fluid at one point and after a day its okay for a while than it loses it again ? any ideas suggestions ?

thanks , sorry for my poore english .

PS . another thing i want to know what is the worst than can happen if i keep driving a car that has this kind of problem ? can coolant get it to the engine somehow or in the exhaust ?

Quickest way to identify your leak is to perform a pressure test of the system. You should be able to rent the pressure tester from an Auto Zone/Advance Auto type of store. Once you identify the location of leak, research parts needed and depth of skills needed to make repair.

But if you cant see where it comes from? When engine works i assume the system. Is under pressure, and u cant see anything where it comes from:D so i have to take off all the uuper part fuel intake manifold etc

There is a YouTube video series of a shop diagnosing a coolant leak on a TDI Q7. The shop is EMD Porsche Specialists Caringbah Sydney. It’s very informative.

I think i allready saw several q7 videos, but the engines are a bit different that what i have, as far as i saw ir they had this single egr modul. Mine has dual egr model with pre cooling as well

The team at EMD have a video on how to use a pressure tester to locate your leak. This may allow you to find your leak without removing your intake. Then, if the leak is located under the intake, pressure test again to isolate/diagnose further. Testing is done from your coolant tank at 18 psi.

Hi There

There’s a plastic flange that connects to the egr cooler that was broken on mine. Cooler is bolted to this.

Intake can be taken off quite easily.
Need a long torx 30.

So .. hello guys .. ig got my car fixed in 6 hours.. i guess i knew what the problem was after presure test... so the job was not that hard and replacing part was easy ... most annoing part was that i had to remove all fuel lines and all the other wire on top .. and intake manifold as well which is pain in the ass if u ask me .. no idea why audi ahs figured that putting a plastic valve down there is a good idea .. so here are some picturs.

as u can see the inner part where th easl is for the valve has broken off and coolant was pressed out of it ..

totally payed like 100 euros for the valve and seals .. job did by my selfe so no expenses there

sorry for late response been out of town for a while
