What are people gapping to on stock bore on stage 3 mods?

Pistons didn't come with any spec so I'm leaning towards suggesting gapping towards the greater value based on the stock spec (so .40mm and .50 mm) or just let the builder decide.
Power level around 400 hp, want room for growth upward 450-500 hp though.

Thanks

On the last build I did with stock pistons, I did exactly what you’re suggesting. Just set it at the high end of the stock gap.

Great, thanks.
I brought that to the builder and he felt that be the best approach also.

A good tip is to always have the second ring gap wider than the top. The bias helps to make sure the top ring top rings back pressure is is good enough to make sure it the top ring is the dominant seal. Long involved story but the big manf figured this out a few years ago. I learned the hard way a long time ago when I experimented with gapless second rings. It sound like a great idea until you try them. Crazy oil consumption. Changing to a gapped second ring fixed it.

I went as wide as the stock spec would allow.
