2021 Audi SQ5 Sports Package with 21" wheels.

I'm still trying figure out how to avoid drilling the front grill to install front license plate. It would be great if anyone has some tricks or tips to share.

It's going to a lot of reading of user manual in the next three days.

The best option I have found for mounting the plate without drilling holes is Sly Brackets. I use it on mine and it works flawlessly and has plenty of adjustability.

Congrats! I had to have my dealer look the other way so that they didn't have to drill the front holes for the plate on a new car, and were nice enough to let me leave without putting it on. The hidden plate option is quite nice, though

Can I use Motul oil for this car? And total 8 qts? The sticker in the engine bay is not very specific about the engine oil. The owner’s manual has Q5 printed on its cover page. Audi cheap out on printing cost? The owner’s manual also has a section for oil consumption. Does this car burns oil like my B8 A4?

I have a B9 SQ5 and RS5, both burn a little bit of oil. I have yet to get the low engine light though. Just check on it from time to time in the mmi.

Yea small amount of burn on all my past Audis. What you see in the MMI is just a representation of the max and min levels you’d see on a dip stick.

How much top off per 5k miles? What oil art you using? 8 qts total capacity? I couldn’t find the info in the owners manual nor on the sticker.

There is a sticker on radiator shroud that says use VW 508/509 oil which is 0w20. A few options out there but on first oil change I did myself getting oil from Audi parts department was reasonable.

Yeah I'll grab one in spring. Really don't want a new vehicle during winter haha.

I’m not sure if I will do anything to the car that may void the warranty. But I doubt the FFP will. I feel the mud guards maybe more useful as they protects paint from small rocks kicked up from those 21” wheels. But I’m not sure they offer that for SQ5.

Nice thing is you can basically just take all the parts from the current sq and slap them on the new one.

I love the exhaust sound when the car is in dynamic mode. I wish it could be abit of louder. But the shifting isn’t smooth as if in comfort mode. I haven’t tried other modes yet.

Up to you on the paint protection. Either that or set aside $1000 to get the bumpers repainted every 3-4 years. In NYC you want to front and rear bumpers protected. Less of a rock chip issue, and more of parking damage.

I haven’t had a chance to set my account in Audi connect. This car comes with so much technology which it takes time for me to learn. Today I noticed it has the traffic light count down in my dash board. WTF?! It’s too fancy for me! And those LED lighting. Turn them on and off by touching them with my finger. I had my A4 too long. I’m so behind with all those technologies they put in cars nowadays.
