Never seen anything like this...both hangers for the exhaust broke yesterday. I'm assuming one broke, and the added stress caused the other to break immediately afterwards. Exhaust is only 2 years old...probably 15k miles.

Anyone else have issues like this? Assume there's a warranty on the welds, but it's not like I can just take these off and be without for weeks...

I have all kind of issues with AWE welds falling apart and very shitty quality metal!! So no, not a surprise!

AWE overall is very reliable and offers a lifetime warranty to the original purchaser. You should contact them and see what they can do for you.

Just like everything, there are issues here and there, but hopefully AWE can assist.

In the short term, any local exhaust place can probably reweld those for you.

If I remember you bought it used and that degradation doesn't happen overnight, so not sure how much was there when installed, or what it looked like when you got it.

Overall I don't see many people posting issues with AWE and there are a ton of people running them. Your bad experience doesn't mean all of the stuff they make is crap. Did you contact AWE yet to see if they can help you?

Ended up just having a muffler shop weld it...ran $75. I figure even if AWE has some warranty on this, it's going to require me to send it back (doubt they'd just send new), at which point, I'd be without the muffler for a while...and shipping costs.

I ended up having the shop put in new downpipes while it was there (steered away from AWE on this one)...they did those in 2 hours @ $120/hr. I know I would have spent a day on it...so money well spent.

Just a little peeved that something didn't even make it two years. And with less travel to work due to the pandemic, it's not like I'm racking up the miles at the moment. I'm done venting now.
