When I was replacing my motor mounts, I had to remove the OEM cooler to get access. Given I hadn't planned on the removal, I didn't order a new seal. It's now developed a small leak.

I now have a new seal to put in, but have now found a Forge adapter plate....

Since I already have an extra 30 row oil cooler laying around, all I would need is a couple AN fittings and some lines.

Just curious if anyone is running a similar setup and if they like it.

I ran one. Was using the iABED adapter.

Thoughts? I've only seen one other post, referencing cooler oil temps would increase carbon build up. But I didn't see any other post with similar comments. Didnt really get the logic in that comment, either

Oil temp was never really above 210F with it. I really don’t know anything about how it effects carbon build up. I never had an issue. Ran it for less than 6 months, though, before my let go.

Hi , sorry for barging in this thread but I do share the same engine platform as you guys and want to share my experience.

My car was running from 220- 248, I believe was the max I saw on close to 100 degree days in dessertly Texas. After upgrade, Temps were like 215 or less and didn't see it go over 220ish even on bad hot days and doing some pulls.

I've heard these engines are made for factory Temps and that lowering is not a "good" thang!!
But imop, an engine that is heavily moded and no longer runs on factory specs , anything you can do to make all components run cooler is always gonna be beneficial for your engine and or transmission. Its why I did both.214252214253

Nick, what are the lines going into, between the adapter plate and the core?

JF, not barging in at all. You are contributing, which is what I'm looking for. Was your plate an iAbed version as well?

Sorry for picking this thread up again.
Did you use an external pump in your setup?
